Melly Mell suing Rhonda Bobb for in excess of UDS$3,000,000

Melly Mel, whose given name is Melissa Atwell (now Holder), is suing fellow social media influencer Rhonda Bobb for over three million US dollars, according to court documents, filed on March 29, 2024, and which our publication has seen. The case was filed in the United States District Court, Easter District Court of New York.

The court documents reveal that Melly Mell alleges Bobb, on her social media program “Let’s Talk With Rhonda Bobb LLC,”  began engaging in a series of conduct intending deliberately to defame, harass, bully, and intimidate” the activist and influencer in February 2024.

According to the documents, “The defendant, Rhonda Bobb, first posted a series of videos defaming the Plaintiff by falsely claiming that the Plaintiff had engaged in criminal conduct by extorting millions of dollars from individuals. Bobb also allegedly claimed that the Atwell operates by swindling other people and was illegally present in the United States without a social security number,” according to the documents filed.

Additionally, the court documents state, “As a result of the Defendant’s conduct, the Plaintiff has lost several potential advertising deals and some of her followers, and as a result of the Defendant’s wrongful conduct, the Plaintiff has suffered emotional distress, loss, and damages.”

Atwell is claiming actual damages in excess of $1,000,000, against the Bobb for harassment, and damages for defamation in excess of $1,000,000. Atwell is also claiming damages for personal injuries in excess of $1,000,000 from Bobb. Melly Mel is represented by Washington Law Firm P.C.
