“I am convinced that the PPP can’t sell Pholourie properly. Yall can’t sell Pholourie and eggball and make sense. Yuh could thief but yuh can’t do anything that make sense.. You are corrupt from the inside out, all of you in the PPP. I bet if you give them a hundred pholori to sell they would thief out 85 as a matter of fact they are all criminals.”  This came from an irate and livid Pastor Nigel London during his Facebook Live.

London lambasted the Peoples Progressive Party (PPP) Government and its Ministry of Culture Youth and Sports heads of department and Minister Charles Ramson Jr. on its lack of foresight on Planning Inter-Schools Games scheduled for Linden this week commencing October 17 2023. The Pastor has called out Khshief Mohamed (Greg Charles) and Yannick Charles (his son), all from the Sport Ministry as having no vision nor foresight”. The Pastor threatens that anything his taxpayer monies is going towards must facilitate his presence.  The Pastor explained via his live show that the parents and teachers of schools participating in the inter-school sports were told not to accompany the children to the venue.

Pastor London said the venue, Linden Synthetic Track, the Minister of Finance Ashni Singh had told the National Assembly was completed, however, the venue is incomplete and with major works still ongoing as he showed his live audience equipment moving around and incomplete stands at the track. His argument “all of yall disrespectful Priya, Charles Ramson Kashief all a y’all cannot tell me that as a parent I’m not allowed to come and watch sports here,” he added. “Who are you? Yall should have had facilities that are propper before you destroy the Sports Club (Mckenzie Sports Club Ground) you stupid selves. You made a wreck of sports club and now we can’t come here to watch sports.”

The Pastor reminded Linden as he lambasted the government, he stressed the need for togetherness, “Lindeners had better open their eyes and respond to these people in kind, they are disrespectful to yall. Sports is a big thing here,” he added while shuffling his fingers that “no monies cannot be charged for entrance fees for the purchase of uniforms and to feed the athletes to go to Nationals.” He said that “you would therefore have to wait and go to the Dwight John (Ministry Official) to release funding to go to Nationals instead, “ the Paster said.

“I dont forget things. Remember when they said yall wont get ‘Nationals’ too often, because when you see these creatures talk they don’t talk with water in their mouth. Their evil nature is deep, it is deep rooted, don’t forget Charles Ramson Jr. said that Region 10 is winning too often. Now this is the nail in the casket for yall” the Pastor added. “I dont care how yall fight (the Government) we will still beat you, you can try to undermine us all you want”. As Pastor London continued, he passionately expressed what exist in other parts of the country and what the government position maybe. He said “It is eyepass, Georgetown has all the sporting facilities yall go play sports, West Coast  Demerara could watch sports, Essequibo yall could go and watch sports, Berbice yall go  gather for sports cheer your athletes on, show and have rivalry but Linden, which happens to be in the region wiith the champions for cchools, no spectators allowed.”

London was adamant that the government could have provided for both students and parents. He said “In an oil rich Guyana instead of these dogs sayin they going to rent tents, Shanghai (Aubrey Major) got big tents, say Shangai listen we need to have some tents, Rent a Tent, anybody who has tents bring them from Georgetown because yall got us in this position. Tents and chairs should have been provided as recompense for the disrespect yall show us with Sports Club.” The Pastor lamented about making it comfortable to watch sports in Linden. Pastor London noted too that he was one of the persons who wrote the science curriculum for Grade 6 through 11. London said they had factored in the downtime teachers would not have for being in the classroom which included  Christmas, Mashramani and Nationals.

He said “No one who can tell us that while we are having schools sports students and teachers have to be in school. It is written in the schools curriculum for the year that the time is off”. He added, “Who would be there to tell the children run, run. The rivalry between Mckenzie High School and ‘Multi’ (Christianburg Multilateral School). a rivalry that has existed for decades.” The irate Pastor asked when will the disrespect stop? As he outlined that the Government could “rent tents for this expo and that expo” he added that for Linden Town Week some nine roads that were not done for years were completed to facilitate the event but said, “when is come to whine and bend up and skin up” it is send money time.

Mr. Deron Adams, Regional Chairman, Region 10 Regional Democratic Council (RDC)had explained to this publication that in the yearly budgetary allocation for the development of recreational facilities the RDC was told by the PPP government to peg the grounds at $5 million.. “All of the playgrounds that the Region had submitted, whether it was in the communities of Silver Town, Kara Kara, Spieghtland, Christianburg and Retrieve, were all removed from the RDC’s budget by the PPP/C, between 2021 and 2023 while the McKenzie Sports club ground and the Synthetic Track at Wismar were incomplete.
