Residents of Middle Street, Pouderoyen, want bridge fixed

Residents of Middle Street, Pouderoyen, Region 3, want their bridge fixed. They alleged that since the bridge broke, “Nobody come and repair it. All they do is throw two piece of wood on it and they put a wood. You see it projecting out of it,” according to one resident. “Now if somebody accidentally fall on that wood, what would happen?”

Another resident told our publication, “The NDC don’t do nothing for Pouderoyen. The road breaking up because of all the sand trucks and all the heavy-duty things coming in there. There is damage. When the trucks park, they park on the good side and they leave the bad side.”

The community is concerned that a pointed piece of wood protruding out of the bridge there is not safe. “It’s a hazard,” another resident tells us and they want it fixed.
