Scores of Christmas vouchers for staff missing from Linden Hospital

The Linden Hospital Complex opted not to have a Christmas social as has become customary in the public sector and other entities this time of year. The Hospital instead went for a voucher to the cash value of seven thousand Guyana dollars ($7000).

Credible Sources understands that many vouchers have gone missing and the administration does not have a reasonable explanation. This means that several nurses and other personnel at the institution will not receive theirs.

Additionally, names on the list are “ticked off” as having received the voucher but persons have insisted they did not collect the voucher. “When you inquire with the Matron and Personnel Officer they both said they don’t know about it and that they are not dealing with it,” one staff related to our publication on condition of anonymity.
