The First Lady Park in Windsor Forest, Region 3, has been gifted a head-turner of a monument depicting Guyana’s majestic Harpy Eagle.
The gift has been received by the public with mixed reactions. To the consternation of one person on social media, his post read “Y’all please donate this to another region and not Region 3.”
A monument with a similar rendering of the Harpy Eagle adorns the Mandela Avenue Roundabout that leads to the new Eccles access road. The monument, dubbed the “Jumbie Bird”, was greeted with similar reactions.
