A massive investigation has been launched after a private jet that landed at Cheddie Jagan International Airport was broken into recently. The passengers who arrived onboard were from an international company and scheduled for meetings with high-level officials in Guyana.
The aircraft landed last Wednesday and when pilots turned up two days later, they found the aircraft’s interior had been breached but there was no damage.
The aircraft is said to have been parked close to the hanger of the Guyana Defence Air Corps, and small items including liquor and other drinks were missing. The aircraft left on Friday for Brownsville, Texas with its passengers.
