Suddie Hospital roof leaking after billions in upgrades

The Suddie Regional Hospital roof is very badly leaking. It has been reported that the Region 2, Pomeroon-Supenaam, institution has recently completed billions worth of rehabilitation work, and many of the issues which were to be remedied persist.

In video footage provided to our publication, heavy rainfall appear to easily breach the roof of the Hospital. Rainfall appears to penetrate at least two of the institution’s floors, one of which seems to be a children’s ward.

The People Progressive Party (PPP) regime has recently come in for a series of criticisms for shoddy rehabilitation works. Several such contracts have been given to what is dubbed as ‘Friends, Family and Favourites’, a reference to persons with little or no experience to execute the needed work.
