Leader of the Opposition Aubrey Norton says that a new APNU+AFC Government will focus on programs that take people out of poverty.
He was speaking at the “We Fed Up” themed rally held at Golden Grove on the East Coast of Demerara, last Saturday. The rally was the second of many planned rallies scheduled for all across Guyana in the coming months.
“The society at present is structured to punish the small man and protect the rich…we have to change that,” the Opposition Leader told the thousands in attendance.
He assured, that the APNU+AFC has a people-centered vision and that all will benefit from the country’s resources without ethnic and political discrimination and exclusion.
Other speakers at the rally included Leader of the Alliance For Change (AFC) Khemraj Ramjattan and Chairman of the AFC Member of Parliament Cathy Hughes.
