President of the New York-based Caribbean Guyana Institute for Democracy (CGID) Rickford Burke in a Facebook post last night, accused installed second Vice President Bharrat Jagdeo of attempting to tear down and destroy Black institutions.
Burke labeled Bharrat Jagdeo as nothing but “a pathological and despicable racist”. “I have been advised that IDPADA-G, the African Guyanese Organization, which Bharrat Jagdeo is attempting to tear down, has submitted audited financial records to the Ministry of Culture, Youth and Sports, through which IDPADA-G received subventions for 2019 – 2020. Further, the Ministry of Finance conducted an investigative audit of records from 2018 to 2020.” The records for 2021 are currently being audited, he noted.
The President of CGID further revealed that despite all of this information being available to Jagdeo, he sent out the Minister of Culture, Youth and Sports, Charles Ramson to issue a statement calling on IDPADA-G to submit its accounts for audit, to convey the impression of wrongdoing.
Last week Mr. Vincent Alexander had caused to file a $50 million lawsuit against the second Vice President who at a press conference on August 19, 2022, alleged that Alexander benefited financially while being an executive of IDPADA-G.
According to Burke, it is “obvious to all that Jagdeo is dead set on destroying black people, black organizations and black businesses. But as long as CGID is around we will resist his evil, divisive schemes. We will give him HELL!”, Burke warns.
