Aubrey Norton and team host high-level meeting with top diplomats

The Leader of the Opposition Mr. Aubrey Norton and a team of APNU+AFC parliamentarians, on Thursday, September 1, 2022, met with a delegation from the diplomatic corps at Congress Place, Sophia, Georgetown. The meeting was at the request of the Leader of the Opposition, the party noted.

The top diplomats at the meeting were: the US Ambassador to Guyana Sarah-Ann Lynch, UK High Commissioner to Guyana Jane Miller, OBE, Canadian Chargé d’affaires to Guyana, Caroline Mireault, and the European Union Chargé d’affaires to Guyana, Evalina Melbardze.

Accompanying the Opposition Leader was the leader of the Alliance For Change (AFC) Mr. Khemraj Ramjattan, MP; Chairperson of the AFC, Mrs. Catherine Hughes MP; General Secretary of the AFC Sherod Duncan, MP, as well as PNCR Chairman Shurwayne Holder, MP;  Ganesh Mahipaul, MP, and Ms. Amanza Walton Desir, MP.

Since his assumption to leadership, Mr. Norton has been meeting and holding discussions with stakeholders locally and internationally in an effort to bring attention to the many excesses of the installed PPP regime.
