Guyanese businessman and philanthropist Azudin Mohamed yesterday assisted seven single mothers. The seven lucky mothers came from all across Guyana. Calyana McLean of North Ruimveldt, Georgetown, received assistance with setting up a cook shop. While Sherry Khan of Enterprise, East Coast Demerara (ECD) received help in offsetting medical & personal expenses. Lashawna Harry of Duncan Street, Georgetown, received assistance to set up a grocery shop. She expressed thanks to Mr. Mohamed for his generosity.
Meanwhile, Podessa Caesar of Canal No. 2 Polder, West Bank Demerara (WBD) was assisted to start up a food business in her community. Finally, Erica Yaw of Buxton East Coast Demerara (ECD) was assisted to expand a meat bird business and Lisa Henry of No.74 Village was given assistance to set up a clothing shop.
Tracy Sealey of Parfaite Harmonie, WBD needed assistance to purchase an electric bike for her son who was diagnosed with a bone disease. With that donation, her son will be able to move around more independently. The mainly single mothers were extremely happy for the assistance they would have received. The businessman wished the single mothers the best in their respective overtaken.
Additionally, Team Mohamed’s also threw its support behind yet another football competition by sponsoring the second prize in the “Keep Your 5 Alive” Football Competition which is set for August 27 at the Sports Hall where a total of 32 teams are expected to participate.
Team Mohamed will also be sponsoring the ‘Friends with Benefits’ Concept Party set for Sunday, July 31, at the GFC Ground, Bourda.
