-Remembered for his discipline and commitment to football
The Dynamic Football Club of Golden Grove, expressed deep sympathy to the family of Quindon Bacchus, age 25, of Market Road, Golden Grove, East Coast Demerara.
A statement for the Club said:
A former member of the Golden Grove Football squad, Quindon remained committed to his investment in people even in his last days. He is remembered for his zealous attendance to training sessions when he played with the Golden Stars club, and the discipline shown on the field.
We will cherish the memories of his warm smile and unending jokes.
Quindon’s character was marked by tenderness, humility, and an unwavering pursuit throughout his entire life to make everyone in his circle laugh.
For twenty-five years we have seen him grow to become a model citizen, who to our recollection, was never in conflict with the police.
He loved his community and was committed to making a difference in the lives of the young men therein through sports.
His participation in organising the Golden Grove Interblock Football is a great loss to the club.
Quindon was eager to see attendance of the Gender Affairs Bureau of the Ministry of Human Services, in the area as per an invitation typed by him for empowerment sessions with youths of Golden Grove.
We, the members of the Dynamic Football Club, draw strength from the indomitable will our brother showed within his lifetime. His memory will live on.
