Ryan Arjune a 26-year-old rice farmer of Quakers Hall, Mahaicony, East Coast Demerara (ECD) was this morning killed in an accident along the Mahaicony Public Road.
According to eyewitness reports Arjune lost control of the car he was driving when another car slammed into the rear of his car which caused him to lose control of his vehicle and crashed into another car that was heading in the opposite direction.
This resulted in a three-vehicle collision and injuries to the driver and two other passengers traveling in the other car. The death of Arjune brings the total reported number of fatalities on Guyana’s roads since the start of 2022, to 52.
Investigations are ongoing.
