APNUAFC Member of Parliament Amanza Walton-Desir over the Easter weekend delivered hampers to some of the elderly villagers in Buxton.
In a Facebook post she noted that times are hard…let us all do what we can to help the less fortunate among us.” The Shadow Foreign Affairs Minister expressed thanks to all those who partnered in making the venture a success.
Some of the areas that benefited from the drive are: Bareroot, ECD, B Field Sophia, Festival City, Wikki/Calcuni up the Berbice River, and communities in Parika and on the Corentyne coast also benefited.
MP Walton-Desir over the past few weeks was involved in an Easter Kite Drive all across Guyana in partnership with the JOY Foundation.
The JOY Foundation was established in honor of the memory of Joy Henry Walton. This year the Foundation is focusing on giving back to those communities in which she served in her over 50 years of public service.
