PNCR Leader Aubrey Norton and former Chairwoman Volda Lawrence are confirmed to be replacing Nicolette Henry and Joseph Harmon in the national assembly. This was confirmed in a press release by former President David Granger who serves as the Representative of the list for the APNU+AFC Coalition.
This marks a significant step in the leadership transition process that started when Norton won the PNCR’s election for Leader. Norton is now expected to replace Harmon as Leader of the Opposition, as was decided by the Executive of the PNCR.
Volda Lawrence will be making her return to the political stage following her decision to not contest any position in the PNCR’s recent internal elections. Taking what she described as “time for myself and family”.
Granger made the statement in response to what he described as “mischievous” articles in pro-government media.
