Police are on the hunt for “four” men who robbed the M. Ali GUYOIL Service Station station located on Main Street, New Amsterdam, Berbice.
Regional Commander Boodnarine Persaud has confirmed the robbery incident and informed that men armed with guns stormed the fuel station sometime around 11:00, February 4, 2022.
It has also been reported that a pump attendant Yadram Rooney was shot three times about the body and has been rushed to the New Amsterdam Hospital. No other injuries have been reported so far.
Two persons have since been arrested by the police, and investigations continue as a high incidence of crime continue to plague the current regime, unabated.
