A recently rehabilitated road at Silvertown, Wismar Linden, Region 10, has collapsed. This is an emerging pattern with a number of infrastructural works under the installed PPP administration.
Information suggests that the contractor was flagged by the Regional Democratic Council because of the poor construction of a drain which residents had stopped but the contractor was later given the stretch of road.
Sources stated that Councillors and Chairman of the Works Committee flagged this particular project some weeks ago. The alleged contractor has been identified as David Sugrim and residents are irate about the wastage of taxpayers dollars.
